Want to apply for City of Melbourne’s Art Grants program for 2022 but need grant writing support designed for culturally diverse artists?

MAV and Jonathan Homsey will be running a grant-writing workshop on with a follow up one-on-one feedback sessions available for those who attend.

Grant Applications can be scary.

Arts maker and manager Jonathan Homsey wants to help ease that fear away. Across an online workshop and 1 on 1 consultation, he will work with you untangling the code-switching world of grant writing and get you ready to submit your best application yet.

Taught from his lived experience as a Queer Person of Colour, this is catered for fellow artists of colour who are applying for the 2022 City of Melbourne’s Art Grants round opening 3 May. This workshop is great for emerging artists or a mid-career to established artist who wants to brush up on their skills and the context of grants in this new decade.

Part 1 is online (via Zoom) where we unpack the Pandora’s box of grants and how people of colour can navigate it.
There are 2 Zoom sessions available, you only have to attend one.
Workshop Times:
Friday 30 April 2021 | 6pm
OR
Friday 7 May 2021 | 12pm

Part 2 is a follow up one-on-one feedback session available for those who attend the Zoom workshop.
*You must attend Part 1 to attend Part 2.
