Community Stills by Khalid Farah

“Art is an expression of one’s own life, it is a journey of self-discovery loaded with emotions. These images are the culmination of emotions I have encountered since the 9Tower Lockdown over a year ago.

I leave these images here for you in the hopes that it helps you in your journey of self-discovery.”

Khalid Farah has a Bachelors Degree in Media and Communication. He has worked with the City of Melbourne, The Huddle, Good Cycles, Moonee Valley City Council, and Cohealth on a range of projects as a content creator. He has completed an internship as part of his University studies.

Currently, he is continuing to develop his own production business, Kushitic Production. This has come about as a response to the 9 Towers lockdown and the lack of proper coverage of what was really happening inside the towers. This has motivated him to create a platform where “we tell our own unedited, unfiltered stories as residents directly to our viewers”.
